Flat Feet
What causes Flat Feet?
Flat feet are a result of a loss of the longitudinal arch in the foot. Your foot-type can be inherited or can be a result of poor foot biomechanics, ill-fitting shoes, poor arch supports, injury or trauma.
A comprehensive evaluation is critical to determining your cause of flat feet. Early management while the deformity is still flexible is key to long term success.
What are symptoms?
Symptoms can vary depending on the severity of flat feet, but can include weakness, abnormal walking, wide stance, ankle pain, swelling, tendinitis, inflammation, stiffness, clicking, grinding, locking, and shooting pain.
